Humans, Machines, and Gödel

This issue of Semiotic Studies, edited by Roman Kossak and entitled "Humans, Machines and Gödel", contains papers devoted to the analysis of the Lucas-Penrose-Putnam argument for the non-mechanical nature of the mind. A detailed analysis and criticism of this argument can be found in Stanisław Krajewski's opening essay. The issue was created as a realization of the idea to invite mathematicians and philosophers to respond to this essay and comment on related questions.
